Asmin Hotel’s location has it all. It rests along a quiet little narrow street, truly giving a sense of calm, yet it stands literally one minute’s walk from the main marina and seaside promenade. This is the heart of Bodrum’s sophisticated side: perfect, come evening, for strolling to see the stunning ‘gulet’ yachts, popping into posh boutique shops, or sipping a sunset cocktail at one of the chic seafront cafes. It puts you right in the thick of it all without any of it being noisy.
For people interested in history, the hotel is ideally placed. The very famous Bodrum Castle (Castle of St. Peter), the most recognizable mark of the city, is about a good 10-15 minutes’ walk within the shore. This colossal Crusader castle is home to the highly acclaimed Museum of Underwater Archaeology and provides super breathtaking panoramas of the bay. You may also walk to the ruins of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – it is around 15 minutes’ walk further inland from your hotel.
Bar Street" is within walking distance which may be started to be explored at just 5 minutes. Night entertainment places that host lively bars, and nightclubs going on late into the night can be found here. On the other side, Old Town streets overflow with numerous dining options: from Turkish 'meyhanes' where you may find fresh seafood and meze to kebab houses and international food, basically everything you need. Kocadon Restaurant is also just a little walk away, one of the favorite restaurants of the locals.
Everything practical is walkable on foot. The main Bodrum bus station (Otogar), from where all over the peninsula can be easily reached by buses, is just a very convenient 10-15 minute walk. Thus, a day trip to other towns, like to Yalikavak or Gümüşlük, is incredibly easy. There are also several tiny supermarkets, cash machines, and places where you can book tours a few minutes’ walk from the front door of the hotel, which makes your stay completely without any hassle.
